Divorce and Family Law Advice Clinics are held monthly in the Flint and Saginaw offices. Appointments are scheduled in advance. For more information on clinics see the clinics page.
The Divorce Clinics allow eligible clients, either with or without children, to complete the necessary paperwork to begin the divorce process themselves. Clients complete the initial paperwork in a group setting and are given forms and instructions to complete the remaining documents on their own. The Family Law Legal Advice Clinic provides information and direction to clients who are using the standard Friend of the Court forms to modify custody or child support. A LSEM staff attorney meets with clients individually to review the initial modification paperwork.
